Noelle’s detailed gun engraving pieces are influenced by the fine British and Italian engravers, and the deep influence of Midwestern wildlife artist Owen J. Gromme as well as David Maase. Recently she spent some time at the Creative Art Engraving facility in Gardone Val Trompia to further her skills and inspiration.
Ever expanding her enjoyment of the arts, it has been a natural progression as she transfers a detailed drawing of a majestic hunting scene to the metal canvas of a beautiful firearm using several techniques including Bulino, gold inlays, deep relief, decorative borders, and intricate scrolls.
Why Gun Engraving By Noelle?
Not only does Noelle have a wealth of artistic talent, but she is also an avid shooter, hunter and outdoor enthusiast. She has been featured in Sporting Clays Magazine (Nov 2012 edition) and Trapshooting USA (Feb 2013 edition), as well as a master engraver for Orvis. Her attention to detail is unsurpassed as she has seen many of these game scenes first hand. Her designs are authentic as she researches these scenes before beginning any project. For example, she takes a close look at feather patterns of fowl, dog markings and the surrounding greenery. Gun dogs, birds and scrollwork are not just artwork, but also a great interest to her. Gun engraving is not just a trade, but a passion. You can view the full portfolio of Noelle’s engraving work by clicking here.
